Freestone State School sets aside money in the budget to ensure all students have access to the same opportunities as students have in larger schools. Extra- curricular activities are as follows:
- Arts Council or Theatre Productions
- Inter school Sports with the opportunity to be selected for Southern Downs.
- Local community events such as the Warwick Rodeo, Jumpers and Jazz, QCWA Competition, Anzac Ceremony and Hermitage Science Competitions.
- School Camps supported by P & C.
